Coloration defects in dyeing and printing are difficult to diagnose because the root causes span fiber type, machine configuration, processing parameters, and dyestuff selection. This session walks through an AI diagnostic platform built on five expert systems (DEXPERT series: cotton, polyester, blends, protein fibers, and inkjet printing), connected via LLM function calling, a crosslink knowledge graph, and a self-maintained knowledge base. Attendees will see how rule-based systems and LLMs complement each other and where AI fits into coloration QC. A live demonstration is included.
